Silky and Poreless Skin!

I have been seeing @BenefitBeauty tweet a few things about the Pore Fessional pore minimizer product they have, so I figured it would be a great time to do a review on it for you lovely ladies!
My skin has a lot of large pores unfortunately so I have tried many products to hide them! So far Benefit's Pore Fessional is definately one of my favorite!
The POREfessional
It is a silky smooth product that comes out of the tube as a nude color but when you rub it into your face it is translucent.  It is very light, feels like you have nothing on and there have actually been times that I just wear it alone! The product doesn't say that it gives a matte look but I really feel like it does! It may be because its oil free, I don't know, but it definately helps keep my face from getting shiny when I use it! Also a little goes a long way with this product so I actually use it as a primer.  I use about a pea size amount to smooth over my entire face and that covers well! You can use this product under your makeup or over it! When I use liquid foundation I use the product under it but when I use powder foundation I use this over it and it still blends well and is translucent!

So besides all these great things about it, does it really hide pores? YES....well for the most part! It does a great job at covering most of my pores with just the little bit that I use for my entire face.  Although I do have a few larger pores on my cheek that I have to use extra product on and even then it is still sort of noticable :( I don't blame the product though, I blame my awefully large pores! There are no miracle products that I have tried yet that completely vanishes my pores but Benefit Pore Fessional is near close to it! The one I bought has lasted me awhile but I will definately repurchase it when I do run out because it does work really well! Oh by the way you can get it at Sephora for $28, yes that is a little pricy but I have had mine for a long time and there is still plenty left and it is actually cheaper then some of the other pore minimizers that I have tried from Sephora!

Overall I would say that to me this product is definately Worth The Squeeze! Have any of you tried it? If so, do you think its Worth The Squeeze? What other products have you ladies found help with pore size?

Pucker Up-Healthy Lips!

The first step to having a pretty pout is to make sure that your lips are healthy and moisturized!
Here are my top picks for lip balms!

My #1 most favorite lip product is Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm (Sephora, $7).  This products is a great moisturizing lip balm that smells like yummy strawberrys! You just need a little bit to cover your lips and it is a great formula, not greasy at all! It leaves your lips with a light glossy look to you can wear it on its own but it also looks great under a colored lip gloss or over a creamy lip stick! It also has the cutest packaging ever! A little really goes a long way with this product and you get a lot for your dollar so it will last you ages! Also the Rosebud line has an original and mint scented version of this lip balm!
Strawberry Lip Balm

I also love Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil ($3). My fiance actually got me hooked on Burt's Bees Lip balms...he uses the original one! I just picked the one with pomegranate because it sounded yummy, haha! After trying it I fell in love and have been using it every since! I guess the pomegranate is in it because it helps protect your lips from environmental stress! Overall it does a great job at keeping your lips hydrated! An added bonus that I had no idea when buying it is that it has a hint of color too!

A super cute lip balm that my dog also loves is the EOS smooth sphere lip balm (Wal-Mart, $3).  I discovered this lip balm while waiting to check out at Wal-Mart one day and have bought about 3 since then because when my pup gets ahold of the sphere shaped lip balm he thinks its a toy and tears into it! But anyways I love this lip balm not only because its fun but it smells and tastes great and leaves my lips with a silky hydrated feeling! This product is 100% natural and comes in several yummy flavors! The only one I have tried so far is the summer fruit but they also come in lemon drop which has spf 15, honeysuckle honeydew, medicated tangerine and sweet mint!
Honeysuckle Honeydew Lip Balm Stick

Not only is it good to hydrate your lips to keep them healthy but you should also make sure you cover them up with spf to shield them from the suns harmful rays! The Blistex Fruit Smoothies trio has spf 15 in them! In the pack you get Melon Medley (my favorite), Berry Explosion and Triple Tropical! These lip balms are extremely yummy and smell delicious! These lip balms are perfect for summer!

Have you tried any of these products? Do you think they are Worth The Squeeze? What are your favorite lip balms to keep your pout healthy?

Silky Smooth Soles!

What goes along amazingly with polished toe nails...pampered soles!

My darling mother got me a gift set of treats to treat my feet! In the set from Avon was a foot soak, pumice stone brush and an amazing foot cream! The other two items are nice and I do like them but I find myself using the foot cream nearly everday! It is a vanilla brown sugar moisturizing foot cream that makes my feet, especially my sole, extremely silky smooth! And to make it even better it smells delicious! The lotion is not greasy at all and absorbs right into your foot! I'm not sure how much it costs since it was a gift but it is definatley Worth The Squeeze!

Foot Works Vanilla & Brown Sugar Moisturizing Foot Cream

How do you get your feet summer ready?!

Let's Nail It!

It's officially summer! One thing I love about summer is showing of my little toes with glamourous colors! And don't forget about your finger nails, they need some summer lovin' too!

Here are some of my top picks for summer nail colors!

OPI - I'm Indi-a Mood For Love

-I have been wearing this color for years! I absolutely love it, especially on my toe nails! Its just the right amount of pink...not too bright, but it can be fun and subtle at the same time!

Chanel -Vendetta  vs. Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush nail polish
Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Vendetta
-Purple is one of my fav colors and this deep purple is beautiful! Summer doesn't mean you can only wear bright colors, dark shades are still perfect for summer! I think its the shimmer that makes it look so good when playing in the sun! Now the Chanel nail polishes aren't that cheap but a while back I found a perfect dupe for this color at Victoria's Secret and its way cheaper!  I had never tried VS polishes before but the formula is great! It's long wearing, easy to apply and the colors are vivid! I'm not sure if they still have this color but if you like it its worth a look!

OPI - Bubble Bath

-I'm sure you have all heard of this color! It is loved by many, including me! This color is so soft and delicate that it can make you look pretty in pink at a backyard cookout or sophisticated at the workplace or summer wedding! And to top it off it is flattering on every skin tone! And as always I found a great dupe for this color at Icing by Claire's! The color is a dead on match, the price is more reasonable but I will admit that it does chip easily so if you are going to get the polish from Icing make sure you use a good top coat!

Sally Hansen - French Tip Manicure Trio Kit
- Having a french manicure makes nails look beautiful during all the seasons! And this kit makes it so easy to do your own nails! It is a little more time consuming obviously but I promise it's worth it! The kit comes with a light pink/nude color for the base, the white for the tips and then a clear top coat! The base color is pretty enought to be worn alone and the top coat is such a great product that I wear it over all my polishes! This kit is only around $7 at a drug store and it totally worth it because its so versatile!

And if you want to have a little fun with your nails you should definatley try China Glaze's Flying High! I few weeks ago I took my younger sister out to get her first manicure and she chose this color! It is so fun and looked great on her skin tone (light tan).

Are you a "LUSH"?

I've heard so much about Lush products and really wanted to give them a try! The only bad thing is I want to actually see what the products were like in person but didn't have a store around me and I didn't really want to order them online. When I finally got to go to one of their stores I was overwhelmed with all the goodies and had no idea what to get :( Of course the sales associates were trying to get me to buy certain products but I'm always scared they have alterior motives and I wanted to get real customers feedback first! I'll be back in the area where the store is in a week and definately want to make a purchase!

So what are your must-haves from LUSH!?

My hair is so Fine...

...Pantene Fine!

So I was introduced to the Pantene Fine Hair Solutions/Style not that long ago and I have found my new best friends in the hair department!
Every Friday I visit the thrifty site livingrichwithcoupons.com and they told me about how Pantene was giving our free samples of the Pantene Fine Hair Solutions shampoo and conditioner.  I signed up and a few weeks later I was experience the best shampoo and conditioner combo ever! This line is dedicated to us girls who have fine/limp hair.  Not only is my hair fine but it is super long to so any volume I can get I will take it! This line does just that...it take my long fine locks from flat to volume just in one wash! I'm not saying its a dramatic change but I can tell my hair has a little more oomph to it! It also makes my hair silky smooth and smells sweet!

I am big fan of cutting coupons...I love saving money! On day while cutting my coupons I found one for $2 off any Pantene Styling product and since I was loving the shampoo and conditioner I figured I would give one of their styling products a chance. Looking at their products I noticed that they had a whole section of products for fine hair...woohoo! I needed hair spray so I decided on the Fine hair style hair spray which stated it was for touchable volume! The hair spray is just as amazing as the shampoo and conditioner! I love a hairspray that give me great hold while being lightweight and not making my hair hard as a rock! This product does just that! It has a great flexible hold! Keeps my fly-aways tame when I wear my hair straight and gives me a great hold and bounce when I curl my hair! And to make this product even better, I got it for $0.99!!!! It was on sale for $2.99 at Wegman's grocery store and I used my $2 coupon with it! STEAL!

If you have fine hair I would definately give this line a try! They also have products for thick, curly, color treated, etc hair types, so even if your hair isn't fine I would give their other products a try!

What's your hair type and what are your favorite hair products?!

The Blush Flush

I never ever wore blush until a Sephora associate swiped some of the cult favorite Nars Orgasm blush on me! Once I looked in the mirror my jaw dropped in awe at how beautiful that blush was! I immediately grabbed the blush, purchased it and have been wearing it ever since that day!

Blush

Many of you I'm sure have heard of the orgasm blush.  It is a peachy pink blush with delicate gold flecks in it.  I had heard of people raving about it inlcuding celebrities but I am very fair and thought that a blush would just look too harsh on me; I was so wrong! This blush is truely flattering to all skin tones, even us fair girls! It gives me just the right amount of color and sparkle.  I can put it on lightly for a more natural flush or a little heavier for a glam look! I am in love love love with this blush! I will never turn my back on it! haha.

You can purchase the blush at Sephora for $27. The price does seem a little steep but you get so much product! It will last you forever, I swear! I just take an angled blush brush sweep it across once or twice then pat it on the apples of my cheeks! After that I take a kabuki brush or any fluffy round brush would work and I then go around the edges and buff outwards so that there are no harsh lines from the blush.  It gives it a beautifully natural flush effect.

Girls you definately have to give this blush a try! You will love it! They also sell this in a cream blush that I have yet to try but if you have tried it let me know what you think! Also share your thoughts on the Orgasm powder blush!

Since this is my first time playing with blush I can't wait to try more, so let me know what blushes you love whether it be Nars brand or any other brand! Remember I love quality drug store steals!

Make 'ME' Up For Ever

Lately my foundation routine has consisted solely of MUFE products! I use the Mat Velvet + liquid foundation, Duo Mat powder foundation and the HD High Definition liquid foundation.  I am in love with these foundation products! Each product gives a beautifully natural finish, flawless coverage and they come in nearly every skin shade you can think of!! I will admit that the products are a little pricey so I am going to go through the pros and cons of each with you and you can decide if they are right for you!

Mat Velvet + (Sephora, $34)
-The name may be scary and most would associate matte makeup with a cakey face! But have no fear this makeup gives you a flawless finish that looks silky smooth without any cake face remarks! The formula is light and spreads very easily.  If you are going to use this and have dry skin make sure you exfoliate and moisturize before you apply because it will cling to dry spots.  I would say this foundation gives meduim to full coverage. You only need a little when applying and I use my fingers to apply, clean of course! It definately keeps your shine under control and is raved about my youtube beauty guru Makeupbytiffanyd. If you like a foundation with great coverage, flawless finish and gives you a beautifully matte face be sure to try this!
Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation

HD High Definition Foundation (Sephora,  $40)
-Okay first off I realize this foundation is a bit on the pricey side but seriously its soooo worth it! I was looking for a foundation for my engagement pictures and figured I would try this since its been raved about and its made specifically for photography reasons! I'm so glad I splurged on this foundation! The coverage is flawless and the formula is so light that you don't feel like your wearing anything! And it really does look amazing in pictures! I feel like it is more of a medium coverage but it is buildable. Also it definately gives your skin a luminous look or in other words a shiny look.  Thats probably the only downside of this product especially for me because I have oily skin.  Although I found that when I wear this over my Clean & Clear Mattifying moisturizer it really helps with the shine and I find myself not having to blot all day! So if you do have oily skin and want to try this I would either use Clean & Clear's Mattifying moisturizer or another mattifying moisturizer.  Also for this price I know this product will last me awhile because when I use it I only end up using one pump to cover my entire face nicely.  I pump the foundation onto the top of my hand and use a stippling brush (skunk brush) to stipple it on my face and then blend blend blend.....the outcome is a flawless face!
HD Invisible Cover Foundation

Duo Mat Powder Foundation (Sephora, $32)
-To top off my liquid foundation I use this powder foundation for a little extra coverage! This compact is a perfectly slim and portable compact to carry with you for cover up throughout the day and to give you that little extra coverage that you want! Again even though this is a matte powder it is very light and doesn't cake up at all! The compact comes with a little compartment for a sponge that you can use to apply it which I think is great for touch ups but I perfer to use a kabuki brush and just lightly dusting it over my liquid foundation.  Even though I use this mostly on top of my liquid foundation I also use it when I'm in a hurry or when I don't want a lot of makeup on.  Even on its own it gives great coverage and wears nicely.  If I am wearing it alone I use the sponge and then just buff it out with the kabuki brush.
Duo Mat Powder Foundation

If you can only purchase one I would suggest the Duo Mat because its portable and versatile!
All three products are great and definately worth the splurge.  They all look beautiful on your skin and last forever...even the powder foundation! As always get a sample first to make sure you like it! The powder foundation you will have to purchase to try it out for a period of time but Sephora's return policy is great!

If you have tried these products let me know what you think, how you wear them, what you use to apply the, etc! And if you have any questions about the products fire away!

Magical Mattifying Moisturizer

Hello Beauties!

So in my last post I gave you my skin care routine and I raved briefly about a new moisturizer that I have discovered! I have pretty oily skin but I love to moisturize my skin and always make sure I have SPF on before I go out in the sun. Moisturizer + SPF = extremely oily skin for me! I also have to carry around blotting papers for this reason.  But recently when I was in Target I came across Clean & Clear's new Mattifying Moisturizer! For only a little over $6 I figured it was worth a try and boy oh boy am I glad I snagged it when I first seen it! Ever since then my face has been perfectly matte throughout the day! It really seemed like it was too good to be true but it is the most amazing mattifying moisturizer ever! It gives my skin just the right amount of moisture that it needs to feel fresh while leaving my skin matte! And to make the deal even better it has SPF 15 in it! I definately can say that I have found my holy grail moisturizer! When I picked this up right next to it was a mattifying face wash that I am dying to try next but I need to use up the face wash I have no before I go purchasing anymore.  But trust me as soon as I get it and try it out I will let you all know how it is! The only slight downside to this product is you dont get that much product for the price, 1.7 oz for a little over $6 but I have found that you don't need that much when you use it.

Pretty much this is a must have for all you girls that have oily skin or those who just love the matte look!

If you have tried it let me know what you though!

Squeaky Clean!

How do you start and end your day? Most would answer that with cleansing their beautiful faces! So here are my top picks for my skin care routine!

Lately I have been alternating between two face washes.
-Boots No. 7 Beautifully Balanced Purifying Cleanser for Oily/Combination skin (Target, $7.99)  when I want a more gentle cleanse! I love using this one before I go to bed because it is gentle and cooling but does a great job and removing all my makeup and making my skin feel refrested and smooth!
Boots No7 Beautifully Balanced Purifying Cleanser, 6.6 fl oz
-Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub (Target/Wal-Mart, $5.99) when I want a more deep cleanse! I find myself reaching for this facewash more often in the morning. It does a great job at exfoliating my skin and removing dry skin as well as black heads!

After I have washed my face I always put on a moisturizer.
-In the morning I use Clean & Clear Mattifying Moisturizer (Target, $6.49).  I just started using this moisturizer recently and it is absolutely amazing...soooo amazing that it deserves its own blog post! So I will be praising this moisturizer in my next post!

-Before I go to bed I like to use Garnier's Moisture Rescue. This moisturizer definately hydrates your skin and locks in the moisture.  An added bonus is that is also has spf 15 if you want to use it during the day and also get some protection from the sun.  I perfer to only use this at night though because I have oily skin and find that it makes my face fairly shiny and when I use it during the day I find myself reaching for blotting papers more then I'd like.  Besides the shine it gives its a great product!

At night is also when I try to fight pesky little pimples! For the longest time I was using Clean & Clear's Persa-gel spot treament (Target/Wal-Mart, $5.29) until one day I came across Target's version of this, Up&Up Maximum Strength Acne Medication.  The Target brand works just as well and is nearly $2 cheaper! I put a little dab of the product on my breakout before I go to bed and when I wake up the redness has went down and the problem is nearly gone.  Although I love this product I want to be truthful to you girls and I will admit that if you use to much of the product on one spot it will dry your skin out! So just be careful!

Well thats is for my skin care routine! Check back for my review on the Clean & Clear Mattifying Moisturizer.

What are your go to products to get amazing skin?

Let's get personal...

I am a small town girl that was limited to drug store beauty products growing up.  When I finally moved to a bigger city and was introduced to beauty stores like Sephora I went crazy trying all the 'top' beauty products.  After experiencing both worlds I have come to realize that name brands and high dollar prices don't always mean that they are the best quality items.  I decided to create this blog to share with all of you what beauty products are worth splurging on and what drug store products work just as well!
Since this is my first time doing anything like this I would love your feedback and if there is ever anything you want me to review just let me know!
